Privacy Policy
You can read ReqInsights without an account. Creating a reader account is optional and is used only for article comments, private notes, and first-publish article alerts.
What is collected
Standard web server logs (IP address, requested URL, user agent, and timestamp) are recorded by the hosting infrastructure for security and operational purposes, and are not used for profiling or shared for marketing.
If you create a reader account we store the email address you provide, a password hash or Google subject identifier, verification state, and the comments, private notes, and alert subscriptions you choose to create. Private note bodies are stored encrypted. Approved comments are public; pending comments are visible only to you and administrators.
Processors
The hosting provider is Hostinger, which operates the server this site runs on. Outbound mail uses Resend. Optional Google sign-in uses Google as an identity provider. No analytics vendor or advertising network is used. OpenRouter and Langfuse are not used on this site until the prompt lab ships.
Cookies and local storage
This site does not set tracking or advertising cookies. A short-lived cookie is used to support the administrator’s draft-preview feature and is never set for anonymous visitors. Reader sessions use Payload authentication cookies after you sign in.
Theme preference
The public site stores a single reader preference in localStorage.reqinsights-theme (light, dark, or system) so the colour theme can persist across visits. Clearing site data returns the site to the warm light default. This value never leaves the browser.
We send only verification and password-reset mail, first-publish article alerts you confirm, and notes you explicitly ask to email to your own verified address. You can unsubscribe from article alerts without signing in. We do not send marketing mail.
Export and deletion
A signed-in reader can request an export of account data from the account page and can delete the account. Deletion removes comments, notes, and alert subscriptions owned by that reader.
